Butler County Bank, the first branch of Camden National Bank, opened for business in March 2004 in a temporary modular facility located at the intersection of Greenville Bypass and New Searcy Road in Greenville, Alabama.  In March 2005, the bank began operations in its permanent building at the same site. Butler County Bank was founded upon the idea that Greenville and Butler County would grow significantly in the coming years, and that there was a need for a true community bank that would be responsive to the needs of its customers and offer more flexibility than many larger regional banks.
